ITEM 1. DESCRIPTION

Adventure Trophy which will be done on a secret route at Samanli Mountains Sapanca being as center. INTERCITY is the main sponsor. Route notes will be distributed before the trophy begins.

 

ITEM 2. ORGANIZING COMITEE

ITEM 3. RULES

The INTERCITY Trophy will be done at Sapanca  Region and last 3 days. Route consists of Navigation and Off-Road stages.  Teams consist of 2 cars and 4 drivers. Total points of 2 cars in the same team will determine the score. Team will be accepted as finished the Trophy even if one car of the same team finishes the route. The Off-Road Stages are done against time and must be finished at shortest time possible. Classification will be done on time basis. There are Checkpoints (CP) at places and numbers unknown to participants. The participant must press the stamp found there,  onto the  row in the road book where the CP is. Each missing CP Stamp will be penalized by 200 points. Touching the nylon straps,  in the stages will be penalized by 50 points. The team with the least penalty points is the winner of the Trophy.

 

ITEM 4. CARS ACCEPTED

-          Cars must be equipped for normal traffic conditions.

-          Cars must be 4x4 (Four wheel Drive).

-          Total weight of the cars must be less than 3,5 tons. Unimog or equivalent cars can not take place in the Trophy.

 

OBLIGATIONS

  1. 3 or more points 2” safety belt
  2. Branded helmet produced for motor sports for each driver.
  3. At least 1 fire extinguisher of 4 Kg.’s
  4. First Aid Box
  5. GSM phone
  6. At least 1 winch for each team
  7. Off-Road Tires of mass production allowing 80 Kmh or above on the tarmac,
  8. Strap
  9. U (or D) Shackle
  10. Blanket (or similar / obligatory to use on the rope during winch operation)
  11. Compass
  12. CB or walky-talky wireless units.

 

ADVISED HARDWARE

  1. Standard manual saw (Chainsaw is forbidden)
  2. Shovel
  3. Spare gas (gas tank must be metal and fixed to the cars strongly)
  4. GPS
  5. Trip Master
  6. Other Off-Road Equipments,

 

ITEM 5. START

Start list will be determined by lottery. Teams will start with 5 minutes intervals. The 2 cars in a team will leave with 1 minute interval. At the end of each day, next day’s Start list will be re-arranged according to the results.

 

ITEM 6. ROAD BOOK,

Each Team will receive the Road Book at The Start. The Start and Finish Times will be written on this book which will be used as the Time Carnet by the  Officials. It is the Participant responsibility to keep this Road Books and deliver it to the marshals at The Finish of each Stage. The Participants are not allowed to write anything on the Road Book. (Other than the Stamps at the CP’s)

 

ITEM 7. THE ROUTE

The Route must be done completely. The Organization Committee can make some changes on The Route due to unattended conditions. These changes will be announced at The Briefing or Start. The Route is measured by Tripmasters and a reference distance, 1 km long, will be shown to the Participants by The Organization.

 

However, the distances shown on the odometers of The Teams can show variances due to driving, techniques, calibration etc...The Teams can not bring any objection due to these reasons.

 

The maximum Time allowed will be announced at the end of each Stage.

 

There may or may not be any officials or Observers at the CP’s.. But ther will be a Sign specifying the Point.

 

The Participant using the Stamp has to be sure that it is left back.  Any damage to the Stamp or the CP signs etc... is a reason of disqualification.

 

The participants are bound to obey the directives and advises of the organizational committee. The participants(s) who want to leave the trophy must inform the committee as soon as possible.

 

Teams must allow other teams which want to overtake their team, as soon as possible.

 

While the trophy will take on roads open the traffic, they must follow standard traffic rules and this is on their responsibility. Breaking standard traffic rules  may end with penalties. There is a speed limit of 20 Km/h on village and mountain inhabitation areas and this must be obeyed.

 

The participants must make available the necessary documentation (insurance, driver’s license etc.) obligatory for traffic during the trophy.

 

ITEM 8. SAFETY-SECURITY

The participants must take care of safety rules at maximum. During winch operation:

-          No ropes are allowed for using the trees. For this purpose straps will be used.

-          Participants must stay at a safe distance from the ropes or straps.

-          Blanket usage on the rope is a must.

-          Using ropes in such a way to block the road or endangering the other cars is forbidden.

 

Trophy responsibles have the authority to intervene the participants in case they consider it necessary for safety. The Participants who doesn’t follow the safety rules will be dismissed from the trophy.

 

Teams are not allowed to help each other, other than danger, accident or clearing the road for traffic. Team-mates can help each other however this must be done without blocking the road for traffic.

 

The participants are obliged to inform the closest responsible when they see  other participants stopped and can not go on the trophy. 

 

The cars stopped and not able to go on the trophy will be taken to the closest asphalt road by the organisation at the end of the day. Cars which can not be rescued by themselves or by the team-mates will also be rescued at he end of the day.

 

ITEM 9. MARSHALL POINTS and TIMES

Each team will be given a time table at the beginning of The Trophy. The participants have to get checked the tables at each Marshall Points and keep it until the end of the Stage.  The time tables will be collected by the marshals at tae end of each day and each stage. Time control tables consist of one marshal at the beginning and at the end of each stage. The end of each stage is the beginning of next stage. The participant who took the finish time, will wait for the start time and start. Referee points are not marked as in the official trophies. Flying finish is not applied.  The car must stop at the sign/board at the marshal table. The time, the car has stopped is accepted as the arrival time. Time is calculated as minutes at normal stages.

 

ITEM 10. COSTS

Participation rate of trophy class is Euro 50 (plus VAT) for each participant. The price does not include accomodation and include rations. Insurance is charged separately; 50 YTL../car.

 

ITEM 11. RISKS and OBJECTIONS

Trophy is done in areas open to traffic. Therefore all risks are on the participants. It is on the participants responsibility to take care of safety precautions at maximum during the trophy. INTERCITY Trophy is realized by the permission of the local authorities and all participants who registered and got the regulations will be accepted as given up the rights for complaints and objections against the Organizers, sponsors and the representatives.

 

Organizers may partially or totally cancel the trophy, dismiss any participant  if they consider necessary. In this case evaluation of the completed part of the trophy is under the organizers will.

 

Objections to the organizers are open after the results are declared. The objection time is 30 minutes starting from declaration of the results.  Objections must be made in written form and the cost is 100 YTL.  The amount must be paid to organization in cash. In case the objection is accepted, this sum will be paid back. Only individual Team’s objections will be taken into consideration.

 

ITEM 12. RANKING and REWARDS

Team points consists of the total points of each car in the team. It is sufficient for one of the cars to finish the trophy in order to get points. Unfinished car can not get any points and will be given maximum penalty points. The Team with the least penalty points will be Classified as the Winner. The penalty points are calculated on time basis.

 

Points:

-          Navigation  stages,  1 penalty points for each minute.

-          In Off-Road stages, 6 penalty points for each minute,

-          Missing Checkpoins, 200 penalty points Per CP

-          Touching the nylon straps 50 penalty points.

-          Wynching directly on the trees w/o strap, 200 penalty points,

-          Not starting at the same minute, 50 penalty points,

-          Skipping The Off-Road Stage, 400 penalty points,

-          Exceeding the maximum stage time, 10 penalty points for each minute,

-          Not using helmet 100 penalty points (For each member of the team)

-          Not using the safety Belt 200 penalty points (For each member of the team)

-          Behavior against Gentlemanship 100 penalty points (The decision of the Organization at this point is Final)

 

Disqualification

-          Lack of Car Door Number,

-          Damaging the agricultural areas and equipment.

-          Usage of Alcohol during The Trophy,

 

Total Penalty Points of each team determine The Classification of the team.

At the end of each day ranking is made and the cars start with that ranking next day.

 

 

ITEM 13. SERVICES

It  is forbidden to take service in the stages. The entrance of the Service Cars in the stages results by the Disqualification of the Team. The Service can be taken at the end of the Stages. The Team members can try to repair their cars, during the stages, by using the equipment they carry in the cars. In case a non-moving car stacks the road, other Teams can help to move it. The Team that cannot move will be pulled to the nearest traffic road.
